SOCIATE appoints Gem Macalma as Content Creation Executive

 

Gem Macalma is the agency’s newest Content team member, joining in Q1 2021

 

Following the launch of its new Content department, SOCIATE onboards Gem Macalma as Content Creation Executive & Media Maven.

 

Working alongside the agency’s social media and marketing teams, Gem crafts click-worthy static and video content for SOCIATE and its clients.

 

With a deep-rooted passion for film, Gem’s foray into the world of content and social media began in the cinema; eventually leading him to study filmmaking and photography at Murdoch University Dubai. 

 

Inspired by the likes of Scorsese and Tarantino, he embarked on a creative journey in the world of film and photography. Passionate about content creation, he has worked with a range of renowned F&B brands including Cinnabon and RAW Coffee before joining SOCIATE as a content intern. 

 

Gem’s creative eye and ability to transform a brief into memorable results saw him earn a full-time role in the agency’s budding Content department.

 

Gem comments on his role, “I’ve always had a passion for film but SOCIATE has really helped me find my feet in the world of content creation. I’m constantly being exposed to new concepts and ideas, and love the team spirit. I’m excited to learn more and put my own creative spin on our projects”.

 

Gem’s hobbies revolve around enhancing his skill set. He loves “the click of the camera and the flicker of film”. When he’s not at a shoot or at the office, Gem spends his spare time visiting the cinema, strumming his guitar, or writing his next song.
