Instagram debuts highly-anticipated music feature in the Middle East and North Africa

 

The UAE and region at large can now enjoy Instagram’s popular music feature that has been available elsewhere for four years

 

Instagram music on instastories is a popular content feature on the social media platform. Facebook Inc issued a quote saying, “People have always come to Facebook and Instagram to express themselves and be entertained, and we’re focused on bringing music into the ways people share, connect and express themselves.”

 

Instagram launched Music and Reels in 2018 and 2020. However, the feature has only just become available in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

 

Often compared to TikTok, Instagram Reels boasts similar features. Reels are increasingly becoming the latest way to boost a brand’s visibility on Instagram, and content creators are using this insight wisely. Videos are becoming increasingly prevalent and have a higher engagement rate over pictures – Reels receive a 1,000 unique views on average. Brands and companies are optimising this opportunity by actively incorporating the feature in their content strategy.
